WHO WE ARE....
The Premium Institute of Bartending Schools were founded by David and Rikki Phillips. Prior to opening the school, we researched other Bartending schools as well as talked to over 20 bar and restaurant owners.
We asked students what they would like to see in a Bartending school:
- Bartending Instructors who care and will help us learn what we need to know
- The Bartending school needs to look and feel like a bar
- Getting Bartending experience behind a real bar
- Nationwide Bartending Job Placement Assistance
With that in mind, we built our Bartending Schools to simulate a real bar and during class, we set the mood to make you feel like you are in a real bar. We added the Externship Program to help get students in front of a real bar BEFORE they graduate. We created a professional development class to help students learn how to interview for Bartending jobs and ensure they have a quality resume for Bartending positions. We’ve equipped the Bartending school with computers to help students prepare their resumes as well as research companies on the Internet.
We asked the Dallas and Fort Worth Bar/Restaurant Owners what skills they wanted Bartending Graduates to have. This is what they said:
- Speed and Efficiency behind the bar
- Accuracy in Liquor Pouring
- Presentation of the drinks
So our entire Bartending Curriculum is built around these three components. You will learn to use two hands while making drinks, learn to minimize the number of steps to complete multiple drink orders, learn to accurately pour from ¼ ounce to 3 oz’s of liquor, and learn the proper fill levels of the different glassware as well as all the Garnishes that go with the cocktails.
